Just a quick tip here: the Guardian has a listing of the Top Ten Literary Virgins.

Of course, this includes Queen Elizabeth I, who, although she was called "the virgin queen" because she never married, was almost certainly no virgin. But whatever. In this case, "virgin" just means "never married, no confirmed lovers."
