Today's Vid 9/5/08: epMotion Ad

I ... I just don't know what to say about this bizzare fake diverse boy band video.

It is, as far as I can tell, an actual online advertisement for an machine that automates pipetting (squeezing things into test tubes with a long dropper) by Eppendorf.

For some reason, they appear to be targeting young, straight women who work in science labs and have enough authority to buy expensive equipment for those labs. Now, why would they bother to do that unless there are now a LOT of young(ish) women in such positions?

I find the whole thing very satisfying.
